As we prepare for the new year, Leaf411 is making changes that will impact how you connect with our cannabis-trained nurses, but rest assured–our mission remains the same!

 

Here’s what you need to know:

We’ve heard from many of you that you want the option to schedule a call on a specific date and time. We have good news on this front! We have transitioned to a new schedule-based model where you can book a 30-minute call with one of our nurses as well as a 15-minute follow up call.

You can trust that our new scheduling system provided by vcita will keep your information secure. The HIPAA-compliant site will allow you to pick a day and time when our nurses are available for either a phone appointment or chat-based appointment, and even gives you an option to select your preferred nurse. You’ll also have the ability to send and receive documents or messages to our team via the client portal, and will receive reminders about upcoming appointments.

Starting on January 17,  2022, we will begin charging for calls to help cover the costs of operating our service and paying our nurses.  We understand this may be a barrier for some, so we’ve collaborated with our business supporting members to offer a special code to offset the cost for those who need the help.

Our prices are as follows:

    • 30 minute Nurse Guidance Call $25
    • 15 minute Nurse Follow-Up Call $25 (initial 30 minute Guidance Call is required prior to a follow-up call)

For those who need help with a reduced cost, please contact any of the business supporters listed under our “Resources” tab. All of the businesses listed under the Vetted Member Directory or the Support Members & Corporate Sponsors, will provide you with a unique code that you can apply to offset the cost.

As we roll out these changes, our Leaf411 hotline at 844-LEAF411 (844-532-3411) will still be online; however, you will  need to leave a message instead of having your call answered in real time. The fastest and most efficient way to connect with a Leaf nurse will be through our online booking system  here.

Why are we making these changes?

When Leaf411 launched in Fall 2019, we had no idea what the future held. Needless to say, we did not factor in pandemics, shutdowns and other seismic changes that have occurred over the past two years! In fact, many other nonprofits have not survived the pandemic’s impacts. However, we’re happy to say that we’re still here at Leaf411, thanks to the passion of our staff and volunteers, as well as the incredible support from our business members and the larger cannabis community.

As our organization matures, we’re taking a close look at how to build long-term sustainability while also continuing to provide highly-personalized trustworthy guidance from fully-licensed RNs who are fairly compensated for their time and expertise. By making changes to our model, we will be able to better match our current resources to demand, while continuing to expand our capabilities in the future.
