COVID-19 update from Leaf411

A word from our CEO/ED, Katherine Golden, RN:

Cannabis has a long history as medicine, and has also been used spiritually and recreationally. Nurses are caring for the increasing number of patients who utilize cannabis through a medical marijuana program or who self-administer as a treatment for various conditions including stress, pain, insomnia, etc.

Our cannabis consumers need the reassurance that their daily medicine to help control their various symptoms will be available during the COVID-19 pandemic.

There may be concerns regarding purchasing your medicine safely. Leaf411 nurses are working with our dispensary members to take the necessary steps to put a COVID-19 Preparedness Plan in place with guidance from our local, state, federal agencies, and health organizations. We recognize that for many Colorado patients, dispensaries are an essential service, providing medicine that allows people to continue with activities of daily living.

As we navigate through frequent health and safety announcements, we would like you to know that the Leaf411 nurses are available, on the phone lines, ready to answer your questions regarding your cannabis use and purchase concerns. We’re available by chat or phone, 1-844-LEAF411 (844-532-3411).

Health and safety are all of our responsibilities. We encourage you to practice safety measures at home and when you’re out. Wash your hands with soap and water frequently, cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or your elbow if you sneeze or cough, avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands, and please stay home if you are sick. Take measures to avoid unnecessary contact with crowds and confined gatherings of people to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
